CZ-75/ SP-01 overall, beats out the P-01 down range. Lower recoil and overall fun factor. I have never tried CC w/ the full size, but some ppl do it. The P-01 is lighter (alloy frame) and smaller so it is a bit more snappy, but totally manageable and still a joy to shoot. The grip is also fatter. The CZ's unique grip shape reduces the length of pull, and the steel frame provides more inertia, assisting function and reducing recoil. The stock triggers are comparable. The Beretta's is a little easier to tune with a simple spring swap, but the CZ benefits more from a full trigger job. Here's my P226 - It's a Swiss Police gun - trade-in in 9mm -. I bought it for $300 .. sent the slide to CCR for a $79 slide job and added Hogue Aluminum Grips. I sold my CZ SP01 but here is my CZ 85 Combat in 9mm. Not to confuse the issue, but I'd suggest that you also look at the Beretta PX4 Storm - they are great too.
Overall lifetime depends on your ammo pressure, but for CZ pistols, thick buffers last around 5-15k rounds, while thin ones lasts 1-2k. Too thick a buffer prevents the slide from going all the way back and extracting right. The CZ thick buffer is fine on a Shadow 2, but not on a SP-01 or other CZ 75 models, even with a lighter recoil spring.
I have a sp01 tactical and 3 different 226 models. I can say for $600 A better gun doesn't exist than the sp01. That said if open to spending a little more one of my 226 models is a tacops and is superior out of the box. Srt trigger really propels it but also 4 20rd mags vs 2 18rd. Easily $4-500 more however.
I was debating between the G17, CZ 75, and 92fs. They didn't have an CZ 75 but had the SP-01 and I got to hold that and the rest of the guns. Found that I preferred the 92fs and CZ SP-01 over the glock and since the 92fs was a bit higher than I wanted to spend and the SP01 is a great gun I went with the SP01.
The Walther PDP Compact 4" and the CZ P-10 C are very similar in size, weight, and capacity. Both companies have good reputations. In general, I prefer Walthers to CZs, but that is just me. Another aspect to consider is the availability of a holster for carrying in the position you want.

Just because the glock my go some 100k to 200k rounds on the same gun and the m&p has been proven to go beyond the 50k mark doesnt mean that a gun like the CZ that goes 30k+(the requirement and achieved goal of the P-01 before it could become a Nato handgun) is a bad gun. CZ are known to go 30k+ on the CZ 75 and SP-01 variants as well.
